The Révélation Lumière project is a place for innovation and experimentation dedicated to the city of tomorrow, a showcase for a sustainable, inclusive and more human city.

THE INHABITED PARK

This vast plot, initially dedicated to film students, then returned to a natural state for more than eight years, has developed a true ecosystem. It will soon be home to an "Inhabited Park."
At the heart of this screen of vegetation, a lake will be created to serve as a new starting point for the district.
It will feature a habitat that encourages mixed uses and exchange through the diversity of its spaces: first-time ownership housing, specific housing, SoHo spaces, subsidised housing, a vegetable garden and shared green spaces... all will serve as the building blocks for new environmental habits.

Around the central lake are the plots that make up the “Perched Village” – an assemblage of vertical houses with individual exterior extensions oriented towards the park.
Along the access roads and quieted traffic lanes, the Belvédère buildings offer a wide range of vistas and stepped terraces.
Finally, located at the perimeter of the project, groups of town houses set up a dialogue with the houses on the Rue Mozart. Each “Lumière House” has a protected extension that doubles the development capacity of each housing unit as an option. 

LE RÉVÉLATEUR: ADAPTIVE RE-USE OF EXISTING STOCK 

The adaptive re-use of the old Louis Lumière School embodies a strong desire to re-use existing built spaces.

The building will become “Le Révélateur.” It will be entirely redeveloped and its structure will be preserved.
Le Révélateur will be a diverse and vital third place with co-working and techPark spaces that will house the first laboratory of the inclusive city.

It creates synergies both within the neighbourhood, between its users, but also beyond, for example with the Cité Descartes and the EPA Marne-la-Vallée public development body.

LOCATION VALUE AND METROPOLITAN VISIBILITY

The site of the former Louis Lumière school is a strategic link in the chain of the urban narrative to be developed between the Noisy Mont d'Est and Noisy-Champs rail stations. Its location halfway between Noisy-le-Grand’s two stations gives it visibility at the scale of the entire territory.

The different buildings trace the new skyline of the site. It is a true collection of totemic objects which frame the vistas on the park and serve as an acoustic buffer on the scale of the entire district. It is an urban entity that serves/is served, created in the collective interest and which transfigures the landscape of Noisy.

Our objective is to design a project that is exemplary, particularly on the environmental level. To do that we hope to propose a project that will tend towards carbon-neutrality by working in keeping with the Énergie - Carbone (E+C-) and Eco-quarter approaches.
